Med-24 offers the possibility of obtaining an electronic prescription quickly via the Internet (an online prescription is just that - an electronic prescription). At Med24, the online prescription service is cheap and fast.
Remember that a specialist can refuse to issue an online prescription if they feel that there is no basis for prescribing the medicine in question, or if they determine that it is not safe for you to use the pharmaceutical in question.
Make an appointment for an online consultation today and fill a quick online prescription via the internet at any pharmacy. At Med-24, your health is our priority and our state-of-the-art platform allows you to get the medicines you need quickly and safely.
E-prescription from 49 PLN
At Med24, you can get an e-prescription for a new medicine from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. with a STANDARD online consultation. If you choose to use the Express remote consultation with your internist or pediatrician, you can get a low-cost online prescription via the internet for a new medicine in as little as 15 minutes. The prerequisite for an online prescription for a new medicine is a medical consultation, during which the doctor will check that the prescription is safe and justified.
You can obtain an online prescription for the medicines you take permanently from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. A prescription for continuing treatment is issued on the basis of medical records no older than 12 months (and no older than 3 months for Category IV medicines). The specialist will issue a prescription for medicines taken on a permanent basis after a thorough review of the medical records sent by the patient.
By far the biggest advantage of a fast and cheap online prescription is that it can be received electronically (the prescription can also be obtained online), eliminating the need for a stationary visit to the doctor's surgery. This is a major convenience and time-saver for all patients - whether they are busy, chronically ill or struggling with a disability.
An e-prescription for continuing treatment can be obtained on the basis of up-to-date medical records confirming that you are taking the medication on a permanent basis. All you need to do is to make an ‘E-prescription’ appointment and, prior to the appointment, send in your medical documentation confirming that you are taking the medicine in question. The medical documentation - a certificate from a specialist doctor - must be no older than 12 months. If you are taking Category IV medicines, the medical certificate cannot be older than 3 months. Remember that a previously filled e-prescription is not part of the medical record and therefore does not form the basis for a further prescription for continuing treatment.
In the course of an e-visit, the specialist makes a decision on a case-by-case basis as to whether it is appropriate to issue an online prescription via the Internet for a particular medicine.
You will receive an e-prescription code by text message after your appointment and a scan will be possible to download through your account.
You can process your e-prescription at any pharmacy in Poland. All you need to do is provide your pesel and the e-prescription code.
If you do not have the relevant medical records necessary for your medication, you need to make an appointment for a medical consultation in order to make a diagnosis on the basis of which your doctor can write a prescription. A telemedicine appointment should be made with a specialist who deals with the health problems you are currently facing, e.g. if you suffer from mood disorders, you should make an e-visit to a psychiatrist, and if you suffer from frequent migraines, to a neurologist.
To get a quick online prescription for a child or family member, be sure to make an appointment for that person's details..
E-prescription from 49 PLN
Online e-prescribing is a fast, cheap, modern and secure way of getting e-prescriptions, which benefits patients. You pick up your prescription medicines at the pharmacy after providing your collection code and PESEL number. You will obtain an online e-prescription after an online consultation at Med24.
An e-prescription is an electronic form of medical prescription that is issued by a specialist and transmitted to you via the internet (website) and telephone (SMS).
With e-prescribing (electronic prescriptions), patients can get their medicines without having to bring a paper prescription to the pharmacy.
Get your medication taken on a permanent basis without even having to wait a long time for an inpatient appointment. When you realise too late that you are running out of medication, contact our specialist. If you have medical documentation (a medical condition certificate from a specialist no older than 12 months, or no older than 3 months if you are taking Category IV medicines on a permanent basis), use the E-prescription continuation service (cheap online prescription - only 49 PLN!). If the specialist positively verifies the attached medical records and decides that an online prescription is justified, you will receive the code for the e-prescription by text message. The prescription will also appear in your online Patient Account.
In the case of an online prescription for a new medicine, you will need to have a consultation with your doctor, in which case select the E-prescription/New Medicine service. If the specialist decides that the use of the medicine is safe and necessary for your health, he or she will issue an online prescription immediately after the teleprescription. You will receive the four-digit code for the document via text message.
Taking contraception and emergency contraception is only effective if the patient takes the pill at a specific time. Any delays work against you, which is why it is advisable to take advantage of the E-prescription contraception and the morning-after pill visit, which can be done in as little as 15 minutes and even on the same day the prescription can be provided.
We offer a telemedicine service with the possibility to issue your prescription online via the internet. If you are a regular user of the contraceptive pill, have noticed that your current pack is running out and your gynaecologist's appointments are too far away to be able to take the next pill in time, use the telemedicine service at Med24. If you have medical records no older than 12 months confirming the use of your chosen method of contraception, use the E-prescription contraception service. An online prescription will be issued by a specialist after reviewing the documentation provided.
If you want to start using the contraceptive pill and are not sure which one to choose, make an appointment for a Standard gynaecological consultation at MED24. Remote consultations are carried out every day, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. You can choose a convenient date from the specialist's calendar. A quick medical consultation with the possibility of issuing an e-prescription for hormonal pills will ensure that you are effectively protected against an unplanned pregnancy.

You will receive the code for your e-prescription by text message and a scan of it will be available to download on your account after your e-visit - an electronic prescription is a quick prescription! You will also find your prescription in the Internet Patient Account app. You will find all issued prescriptions as soon as you enter the app under: e-health/e-prescriptions to be filled. You can also access your prescription in the mObywatel app, under the ePrescription tab.
The cost of a visit during which a specialist can issue an E-prescription for the continuation of treatment at Med24 is only PLN 49. This price is much cheaper than the cost of a visit to stationary, private doctors' offices. The cheapest prescriptions are online prescriptions.
Patients can obtain an e-prescription after the decision of the specialist, based on the medical documentation presented to him/her in the form of a certificate from the specialist, which is no older than 12 months. For Category IV medicines (e.g. opioids), such a certificate cannot be older than 3 months. Remember that an online prescription is not a medical record, so it is not the basis for another prescription for continuing treatment. The visit is not a medical consultation, but a prescription for continuation of treatment.
Remember that an e-visit does not always have to result in a positive decision by the specialist to issue an e-prescription. It is the specialist who decides whether it is appropriate to issue it. If there is no appropriate rationale, he or she may refuse to issue an online prescription.
The electronic prescription (e-prescription) is issued by GPs, specialists, as well as nurse practitioners and midwives who are entitled to continue treatment started by a specialist, based on valid medical records.
In order to be able to issue an e-prescription, a medical practitioner must have the appropriate authorisation, which is granted by the Minister of Health.
It is worth remembering that an online prescription works in the same way as a paper prescription and is usually valid for 30 days from the date of issue. In the case of antibiotics, the prescription is valid for 7 days. The authorised person who issues the e-prescription is responsible for filling it correctly, so that the patient does not have the slightest problem filling the prescription at the pharmacy.
The e-prescription, depending on the type of medicine, will be valid: 30, 7, 120 or 365 days. The validity of the prescription is determined by the issuing specialist and the expiry date of the e-prescription must be clearly indicated on the document. It is most common to come across a 30-day prescription, the validity of which can be extended by the specialist still during the visit. It is necessary to include ‘date of issue from ...’. - in this case, the 30 days of validity will be counted from this date. In all other cases, the validity days are counted from the date of the visit. Change of the e-prescription due date is only possible for patients with chronic diseases.
On each e-prescription, you will find the date it was issued and the last day you can buy your medicines written on it. If you have gone to a doctor or specialist with the intention of purchasing an antibiotic, your online prescription will remain valid for 7 days, which is the shortest period of prescription validity. For immunological preparations, the number of days is 120.
What should not be forgotten - patients who buy medicines for several packs per year per prescription must make the purchase at the same pharmacy each time.
What about prescriptions valid for 365 days - when can you get them? If you have a chronic illness and take certain medicines on a regular basis, you are entitled to electronic prescriptions with a validity period of a whole year. Please note that once you have an online prescription, it is essential that you purchase your first pack of medication up to 30 days after the prescription is issued. When you are at the pharmacy, you will be issued with medicines for a maximum of 180 days at a time.

Your health condition does not allow you to visit your doctor's office in person? Do you want a fast electronic prescription for your regular medication or contraception? Take advantage of the online e-prescription service. How does it facilitate the process of obtaining medication?
During the online consultation, the specialist enters the patient's details into the system and identifies the medicines to be prescribed. The system then generates a unique e-prescription number, which is sent to the patient electronically.
When receiving an e-prescription, the patient can present it to the pharmacist at the pharmacy, which is integrated with the system present in the doctor's surgery. The pharmacist checks the patient's data and the medicines prescribed by the doctor and dispenses them. A four-digit code and a PESEL number are required to process the e-prescription.
It is possible for the patient to purchase it at any pharmacy in Poland. The same rules for collecting e-prescriptions apply in each pharmacy, i.e. providing the collection code, which the patient receives from the doctor via SMS, and the PESEL number. In addition, all pharmacies allow the patient to collect the medicine at the time indicated by the doctor or specialist and will dispense a certain amount of medicine.
An electronic prescription has the same use as a traditional prescription and is valid for 30, 7, 120 or 365 days from the date of issue. The patient can only use it once or several times if the doctor has authorised it, after which it will be automatically invalidated.
Buying an e-prescription is quick and easy and saves time and paper. Patients can access their prescriptions at any time and do not have to worry about losing or destroying them. The e-prescription is also safer as it prevents counterfeiting and illegal use of prescriptions.
You will receive a notification when a new prescription is issued on your smartphone. You do not need to log in to the website, everything will be done automatically. All completed e-prescriptions are visible in your Online Patient Account, making it easy to monitor the type of medication you are taking and allowing you to quickly access information about them.
The Internet Patient Account (IKP) is a tool that allows patients to easily access information about their health and treatment. With an Internet Patient Account, you can find details of your health status, previous and current visits to your doctor, as well as scheduled consultations or treatments and e-prescriptions issued and filled in one place. This account is free of charge and available to anyone with a PESEL. It is enough to log in to the pacjent.gov.pl website to use all its functions, such as viewing issued prescriptions, test results or scheduling in-patient appointments, without the need to go to the clinic in person. Access to an Internet Patient Account makes it easier to manage your health, and the information contained in your profile is required in order to verify the amount of medication you are taking.
An Internet Patient Account is created automatically for every person who has a PESEL. No effort is required to create it. In order to access the IKP, all you need to do is log in to your account in the pacjent.gov.pl system using a trusted profile, the mObywatel application or your bank account.
Logging in to the Online Patient Account is necessary to obtain an online prescription for continuing treatment at MED24, because during the online consultation, the e-prescriber ascertains what medicines the patient is taking and in what quantities.
It is worth knowing that the Ministry of Health offers patients an easy and quick way to check information on all medical procedures that have been or will be carried out on a person. The list of issued e-prescriptions in the Internet Patient Account can be used to obtain an e-prescription for the continuation of treatment in MED24. This is because it provides evidence that the patient has been taking the medicine in question for a long time or on a permanent basis.
However, there is no need to log in to the Internet Patient Account if the patient can prove intake of the medicine in other ways - e.g. from medical records. The doctor can issue an e-prescription based on the list of e-prescriptions in the Internet Patient Account or the medical records. He or she also checks each time that it is safe and reasonable to prescribe the medicine. With the online prescription, the patient can go to any stationary pharmacy to purchase the medicines.
Yes, patients can check their prescription history online using the Internet Patient Account. Simply log on to the patient.gov.pl website and select the ‘E-prescriptions’ tab. This type of tab contains online prescriptions that have been filled following consultations at in-patient surgeries and those that have been issued during an online medical consultation. This makes it easy for patients to access their prescriptions electronically, allowing them to conveniently view and fill their prescriptions at the pharmacy without the need for a paper printout.
At MED24, it is possible to obtain an e-prescription for a new medicine in 15 minutes, following an online consultation. During the e-prescription, the specialist assesses whether the prescription is justified. In the event that a patient wants to use a medicine that he or she has never taken before, the medical consultation allows the doctor to assess the patient's general state of health and exclude any medical contraindications to the use of the medicine in question. This gives confidence - to both the doctor and the patient - that the treatment has been prescribed correctly, respecting the patient's health and individual treatment needs.
When it comes to obtaining an e-prescription for continuing treatment, which is issued by specialists based on the medical records provided by the patient, the service is available every day, from 8am to 10pm.
The use of the paper prescription has been put on hold since a digital equivalent was developed. An electronic prescription can be issued and sent to the patient remotely, which significantly simplifies the process of obtaining medicines, especially in the case of online consultations offered by the MED24 portal. Currently, a paper prescription is only possible in exceptional situations - for example, when the IT system at a medical facility breaks down. In the past, the problem was that the medicines written on such a prescription were not always presented clearly, which sometimes resulted in difficulties in filling the prescription.
To obtain an electronic prescription via the MED24 portal, you must:
Medicines prescribed by a doctor from MED24 can be dispensed at a selected stationary pharmacy in the country. At the patient's request, the doctor can issue an online cross-border prescription. It is worth noting that paper prescriptions are no longer possible in outpatient clinics. Both public and private healthcare facilities have to use an ICT system for issuing e-prescriptions from 8 January 2020 The above change brings significant simplifications both for patients and for medical personnel. An e-prescription - unlike a paper prescription - will not get lost, destroyed and is always perfectly legible for the pharmacist. In addition, the digital document is saved in the IKP, allowing the patient and doctors to see the history of e-prescriptions filled.
